Thirteen studies, were identified that compared outcomes from hypnosis for the treatment of chronic pain to either baseline data or a control condition. The findings indicate that hypnosis interventions consistently produce significant decreases in pain associated with a variety of chronic-pain problems. Also, hypnosis was generally found to be more effective than nonhypnotic interventions such as attention, physical therapy, and education. Most of the hypnosis interventions for chronic pain include instructions in self-hypnosis.
Recent evidence that hypnosis can reduce pain:
Controlled Trials of Hypnosis in the Treatment of Chronic-Pain Problems
Sickle Cell Disease
Mixed Chronic-Pain Problems and more.
There are different reasons people have pain:
Procedure related therapy includes items as dental work, painless childbirth, and medical tests. A situation in which the pain or discomfort will take place for a predetermined time period.
Injuries including fractures, sprains, soft tissue injuries, burns, and cuts. Injuries are normally caused by an accident.
Illness and diseases such as pulled or torn muscles, stress symptoms, such as headaches, tissue degeneration, disease, cancer, arthritis, migraines, and stomach disorders. Something that there may not be an exact event that caused the disease.
Pre-Operative Suggestions may be used in any case prior to surgery
Post Surgery suggestions will dramatically increase the recovery rate of an individual.
Preventative Hypnotic Suggestions we are all better off working in terms of prevention rather than trying to treat a problem after it has surfaced. The correct mind set can play a very important role in preventing illnesses from occurring.
Is should be noted that although many people have the potential to create miraculous cures, pain control, life changing comfort through the power of their mind, we do not want to see an individual select hypnotherapy over medical treatment. We believe that hypnotherapy can be a valuable adjunct to medical treatment.
Hypnosis is so powerful that it can mask serious medical issues, thus we require a physician’s referral before we will work with anyone on pain management.
If you are experiencing pain and you have not visited a doctor, do so immediately. This program is not a substitute for medical attention, I am not a Doctor and I do not practice medicine, I’m a hypnotist.
